Her directing credits include Annie Get Your Gun, A Flea in Her Ear, The Sound of Music, The Bald Soprano and Crimes of the Heart. Her acting credits include The Lion in Winter, A Little Night Music, Curse of the Starving Class, Quilters, Taming of the Shrew, and A Midsummer Night's Dream. While in Los Angeles, Dona received numerous acting awards including the Dorothy Boch Versatility in Performance Award, the Kathleen Freeman Comedy Award and the Jack Nicholson Acting Award. Her film production credits include "Tender Mercies", "The Jesse Owens Story" and "Tough Enough". Dona received the Sul Ross Faculty Outstanding Teaching Award in 2005.
