Dr. Justin Badgerow maintains an active performance schedule including solo and collaborative concerts around the country. He is active in the field of piano pedagogy and performance as he has been a featured presenter at meetings of Music Teachers National Association, National Conference for Keyboard Pedagogy, Southwest Conference on Latin American Studies (Mérida, Mexico), and the College Music Society Rocky Mountain Region. His research interests include Francis Poulenc's piano music, the "Indianist" piano music of Arthur Farwell, and Latin American piano music.

Dr. Badgerow received his Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Other degrees include the Masters degree in Piano Performance from the University of Texas at Austin and the Bachelor of Music in Piano from the University of Central Florida. Dr. Badgerow's primary teachers include Gary Wolf, Nancy Garrett, and Andrew Coooperstock with additional coaching by Robert Spillman and Anne Epperson.

Dr. Badgerow is an Assistant Professor of Music at Sul Ross State University in Alpine, Texas where he teaches studio piano, class piano, and music theory. He is a member of many prestigious academic and music societies including Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia national music fraternity, Pi Kappa Lambda national music honor society, and Who's Who in American Education.
