This a picture of the crater lake of Kelut in Java.  Erupting 15 times in the past 200 years, it last erupted in 1990 with a VEI of 4.

Additionally, pictured below is Taal, in the Philippines.  It's 1965 eruption was rated at VEI 4.  Since the early 1990's, it has had numerous earthquakes, and volcanologists have named it as one of 15 'decade volcanoes'--those that pose a serious threat to population centers.
