Dr. Rebecca Schlosser is an Assistant Professor at Sul Ross State University . Her specialization is Education Law. She has research interests in education law and online teaching.

Dr. Schlosser joined the SRSU faculty in the summer of 2006. She previously served as a trial attorney in public law for twenty years representing school districts, cities, counties, and MHMRs in Texas and Florida . She also has six years experience teaching in Texas and Wyoming .

She earned a doctorate [Ed.D.] and Master’s in Education from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville , Texas and earned her law degree from University of Houston . Her dissertation was An Analysis of Principal Interns’ Legal Knowledge and Legal Instruction in Principal Preparation Programs. Dr. Schlosser’s also holds a B.A. degree in English and Education from the University of Denver , in Colorado .

Dr. Schlosser is a member of the Texas and Florida Bar Associations, the Education Law Association, the School Law Section of the State Bar of Texas, and the Lion’s Club of Alpine, Texas.
