Dr. Kip Sullivan is a tenured,Professor Emeritus of Education at Sul Ross State University. His specialization is Educational Administration and Supervision. He has research interests in leadership and management. Dr. Sullivan has been a member of the SRSU faculty since September, 1989, when he was employed as the Director of Teacher Education. He retired on May 31, 2012 and will continue to serve as an adjunct consultant. He has previous higher education experience at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas and at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. His K-12 work included 17 years' experience in the Illinois public schools as a teacher, principal, assistant superintendent and superintendent. He earned a doctorate in Education (Ed.D.) from Loyola University in Chicago. His dissertation was Politics and Educational Policy: The Control of the Chicago Public Schools During the Administration of Mayor Anton J. Cermak. He also holds an Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree from Western Illinois University in Macomb, plus master's and bachelor's degrees from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. |
